Purple Party is Uganda’s premier music and arts celebration, uniting fans, artists, and creatives in a global showcase of Ugandan talent. Launched in 2010 as an indoor club event at Bulldog Wandegeya in Kampala, it was founded by renowned media personality Douglas Lwanga with the aim of creating a platform for fans of Ugandan music. Over the years, the event has evolved into the largest outdoor music festival in Uganda, bringing together thousands of music lovers and creatives from different walks of life.
Growth & Impact
Organized by Brand Purple Uganda Limited, Purple Party has grown beyond just a music event. It has become a cultural movement that unites Afrobeat and Ugandan music lovers, while also serving as a stage for rising talents in music, fashion, and dance. Through national tours across Uganda and global world tours, Purple Party has expanded its reach, exposing Ugandan talent to both regional and international audiences.
The event has also become a strategic platform for showcasing Uganda’s vibrant culture, tourism potential, and investment opportunities. It aims to foster a united Ugandan diaspora, rallying communities worldwide to contribute to Uganda’s development through arts and culture
